The Future in Focus Workshop
'Let us begin to imagine the worlds we would like to inhabit, the long lives we will share, and the many futures in our hands'
Susan Griffin, To Love the Marigold, 1996
Launched at the Edinburgh Climate Festival, the Future in Focus workshop turns our attention to our hopes for the future and offers time for our imaginations to create it.
Together we ask what would life look like if everything turned out ok. What does it look like? What does it feel like? How did we get there?
We then capture this narrative in a short film, that each of us contributes to, representing how this future looks.
By creating a space suspended from cynicism, nihilism, and paralysis, we allow ourselves to imagine positive alternatives. Back in everyday life, our final film acts as a talisman for when we need inspiration the most.
